BETTY JANE SPENCER - THE SURVIVOR

ROGER CLAY DROLLINGER - THE RINGLEADER
Male. 23 but looks much older. Leading man. Long black hair, bearded, and hides behind dark glasses. The devil incarnate with a dominant appearance. An ex-con manipulative mastermind. A man with children from two 13-year-old girls. A charming Manson and Dillinger want-a-be. He is the ring leader and the reason the gang executes the family to “see what it felt like to kill someone.” Roger is the last to enter the home and the second to shoot. He is a father figure to David Smith and the two are on the run together living off of a diet of speed and canned goods. He is the last to be detained. He doesn’t get caught. He turns himself in and denies all accusations during a TV press conference, this is a photo from his arrest.
DAVID WAYNE SMITH - THE KID
Male. 17. The leading young man. Long hair frames his baby face. Roger’s right hand man. Started using hard drugs at an early age. Grew up fast without a father and a mother with her hands full. He found his own family, the gang. Crime, drugs, and violence are everyday life. The wild card of the bunch, much like a 1970’s Billy the Kid if Billy was a drug addict who seemingly enjoys murder. The second to enter, one of the first to shoot, last to get caught and even after his conviction Smith shows little remorse.
KEITH SPENCER - THE DAD
Male. Late 40’s. A tall, skinny, and balding romantic. Known and well liked in the rural community although he’s not a farmer and never really quite fit in. He is passionate, genuine, smart, hard working, and tech savvy. A Ford Thunderbird man, who has several in his drive. Works as a Television engineer an hour away but his real passion is radio. Betty Jane is his 3rd wife and he has 3 teenage boys at home and one girl away at college all from his first marriage. The family plans to open their own radio station. He is gone to work when the invasion occurs. His three sons are murdered along side Betty Jane and her son. He never forgives himself.
MICHAEL WAYNE WRIGHT - THE VET.
Male. 21. Shaggy blonde hair and beard. A Vietnam vet turned career criminal. Wright is the go to muscle of the gang. He is the first to enter the front door, the first to shoot, and gets arrested by the FBI in California 72 hours after Stonebraker spills his guts. He laughed during the executions and shows no signs of remorse.
DANIEL RAY STONEBRAKER - THE FINK
Male. 20. Short and stocky. Long brown hair and beard. Comes from a long line of trouble. Roger’s left hand man sometimes used as the muscle. Stonebraker enters first, fires the last shot, and is the first to get caught. He refuses to run and spends most of his time in a cell. He is the first to assist the police in the case and the only one who shows any real remorse.

GREGORY BROOKS - THE CALIFORNIA BOY
Male. 22. A tall handsome West coast boy with long blonde hair. Betty Jane’s son from a previous marriage who works at the local TV station, a job Keith helped him land. He doesn’t have a girlfriend or many friends. He likes helping out at Ralph’s basketball games. He gets along with the Spencers but secretly feels like an outsider ever since he was transplanted to the boonies.
RAPLH SPENCER - THE SPORTSMAN
Male. 14. The baby brother. He has glasses but doesn’t like to where them. A young basketball star destined for greatness. A little too confident for his own good and his athletic abilities can go to his head. He is a thrill seeker and is a bit of a daredevil. He’s already thinking about getting a car of his own.
REEVE SPENCER - THE MISCHIEF MAKER
Male. 16. The middle brother. He is outgoing and a bit of a prankster. Betty Jane’s problem solver when it comes to family issues. Doesn’t have his license yet but already has a car waiting for him and can’t wait for the freedom. He would do anything for a friend.
RAYMOND SPENCER - THE GREASE MONKEY
Male. 17 but turns 18 in less than a week. The big brother. Tall, lanky, shaggy headed, virgin with glasses. He’s a responsible and hard working grease monkey who is a better mechanic than a ladies man. He built his own Mach 1 Mustang but he drives like an old lady most days. He is a confident older brother but socially awkward and tends to keep to his work and hobbies.
